I’m excited to be involved in the field of advertising because I see so much untapped potential in it. Too often, ads fall short—they annoy rather than attract, missing a crucial opportunity to make a lasting impression. At their best, advertisements are compelling content that reflect the identity and values of a brand. It’s not enough to appeal to a narrow target audience; the message must be high-quality and resonate broadly to uphold a strong brand image. Poor jokes or uninspired visuals can easily waste the brief moment an ad has to capture attention.
That’s where I come in. I bring a strong writing background and a passion for storytelling that can elevate any campaign. During college, I honed my writing skills through script-based student groups like BlueScript and Generation Sketch Comedy. These experiences helped me refine my voice, improve flow, and collaborate on polished, effective scripts.
In addition to these creative outlets, my academic coursework has strengthened my ability to write professionally and with precision. My advertising classes have given me hands-on experience designing mock campaigns—teaching me what resonates with audiences and what falls flat. I’ve learned to be intentional with every word, making sure each line supports the brand’s voice and message. Participating in writers’ circles has also instilled in me the discipline to revise and perfect each draft, something I believe is essential in advertising.
To me, the challenge of connecting with audiences through concise, impactful writing is exciting. I’m eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to campaigns that not only meet expectations but also exceed them.
